The 29th SAG Awards ceremony has left us with magnificent looks that gave us something to talk about.
The 29th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, SAG Awards, took place on Sunday at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, honouring some of the year’s best television and film performances voted on by the actors. And as usual, there were a few stars who swept the night.
The gala had some remarkable moments, such as the recognition of Sally Field for her entire career, presented by actor Andrew Garfield or Cate Blanchett, as a best leading actress who has already swept the Golden Globes and BAFTAs 2023 for her performance in ‘Tár’.
In addition, the 29th Annual SAG Awards did not disappoint as it featured some incredible style moments, not to mention some of the best ever, filled with favourite celebrities dressed to impress. After experiencing the fashions of the Golden Globes and BAFTAs, the SAG Awards red carpet has left us with some great looks.
Black was the clear protagonist of the night. British actress, Cara Delevingne, opted for a chic black jumpsuit by Carolina Herrera, which she completed with a huge tail. Although we must also highlight the vibrant colours, as was the case of Amanda Seyfried’s lime green mini dress with a train or Jessica Chastain in a taffeta dress by Zuhair Murad from the spring/summer 2023 collection, wearing the trending colour: magenta. Colours, textures, designs and brands for all tastes but with an unusual common element: almost everything was a success.
Below, we take a look at the best dresses of this year’s SAG Awards.
The British actress opted for a chic black jumpsuit by Carolina Herrera for the occasion, which she completed with a huge train. The square neckline featured a floral detail at the bust and waist and she paired it with De Beers diamond jewelry and black stilettos.
Positioning herself as one of the best dressed of the gala, Jessica Chastain opted for an extra glam pink taffeta dress, a piece signed by Zuhair Murad from the Spring-Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection. She also wore a striking Gucci cocktail ring.
The “Fantastic Beasts” star, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Good Nurse, opted for a white skirt with a huge sculpted collar for the red carpet. Amidst a sea of simple black suits, this Saint Laurent turtleneck shirt gave the red-haired Mr. Redmayne a jaunty vibe.
The “Euphoria” star and SAG Award Best Actress arrived on the red carpet wearing a dramatic Valentino design – a strapless bustier gown crafted of pink silk duchesse satin with 190 roses in pink silk Duchesse. She also wore a high-jewellery necklace by Bulgari that showcases a sizable trio of tanzanite, morganite and aquamarine.
Amanda Seyfried, who was nominee as SAG Best Actress, wore a beautiful emerald, green silk minidress with train by Prada. She also wore earrings crafted of emeralds, diamonds and onyx set in platinum by Cartier. She completed her look with black high heels.
EMILY BLUNT & JOHN KRASINSKI
Emily Blunt, who was nominated for her work in “The English”, looked beautiful on the red carpet as she opted for a brilliant red bandage-style gown embroidered with pink geranium blossoms from the Fall-Winter 2023 collection by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia for Oscar de la Renta. She completed the look with a high-jewellery Serpenti necklace with rubies and diamonds set in 18-karat pink gold by Bulgari. Meanwhile, John Krasinski (Emily’s husband), wore a classic elegant pinstriped suit, with a watch chain.
The “Spiderman” star opted for a traditional double-breasted tuxedo with a white shirt. He added his personal style without wearing a tie and sported a bushy beard.
Julia Garner was stunning in a mermaid-inspired metallic orange dress by Gucci, which featured scallop-like cups, pleated fabric at the elbows, a thigh-high slit and a bedazzled fishnet material. The “Inventing Anna” also wore high jewellery by Irene Neuwirth, including diamond stud earrings. She completed her look with gold metallic Gucci platform sandals.
