MTV Movie & TV Awards 2022 red carpet revived nostalgia for the 2000s.
Being held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday afternoon (June 5), the MTV Movie & TV Awards brought together the biggest stars of the film and TV Industry. Vanessa Hudgens, the host of the event, took centre stage on the red carpet in her stunning blue Vera Wang gown.
Previously, she was a reporter at the Met Gala 2022, where she wore a sheer black Moschino dress, and at this year’s Oscar Awards Red Carpet, she opted for a sleek black Michael Kors halter sequin dress with side cutouts. And, of course, her outfit at the MTV 2022 Awards was just amazing!
As with any MTV awards event, some stars wear ball gowns to provide a serious style moment, while others, arrive in more casual ensembles.
Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Olivia Rodrigo, Paris Hilton and Sydney Sweeney wore stunning ensembles that highlighted their best assets as they walked on the red carpet at the TV and movie awards event.
Let’s have a look at the best-dressed stars at the MTV Movie & TV Awards 2022.
Olivia Rodrigo is definitely a style icon for the Z generation. At the MTV Movie and TV Awards, the singer wore a black dress with crossed halter straps, and her hairstyle was ultimately a nod to the Y2K aesthetic.
Actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens wore an unforgettable blue Vera Wang design, which she paired with a pair of platforms, earrings and a hairstyle that also revived the nostalgia for Y2K fashion.
JLo was the one who wore one of the most talked-about brands on red carpets today: Her leather vest with a plunging neckline and long skirt was from Monot’s fall/winter 2022 collection. Lopez paired the look with Candy Ice jewellery, a Jimmy Choo clutch and shoes from her collaboration with DSW.
The actress stepped out in a dainty little black dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline, paired with ultra-high platform heels. Plus, she accessorized the look with Tiffany & Co. diamonds for an elegant touch.
Rachel Lindsay looked pretty in pink wearing an oversized, co-ord suit set with a shirtless cropped blazer on top and baggy trousers on the bottom.
She arrived on the MTV Movie and TV Awards red carpet in a figure-hugging long blue gown embellished with Swarovski crystals and a high leg slit from the couture house Sol Angelann by Irena Soprano, with gloves by Marta Del Rio.
