The Fashion Awards 2023, hosted by the British Fashion Council and presented by Pandora, returned to the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday.
The 2023 Fashion Awards, which honoured the finest in fashion this year in collaboration with Pandora, were held in London’s Royal Albert Hall on the red carpet, hosted by the British Fashion Council Foundation. Prominent and accomplished designers were present, together with trailblazing innovators from the upcoming generation. The BFC Foundation, an institution dedicated to developing young talent via grants, education, and business mentoring, also benefited from the ceremony’s fundraising efforts. In addition to honouring the icons of British fashion, the Fashion Awards 2023 shone a bright light on the future and promoted a legacy of ingenuity and support within the industry as the brilliant lights of the Royal Albert Hall flashed in time with the spirit of invention.
While other flagship events might veer into the costumey, the British Fashion Council’s annual bash sees attendees rise to the location, leaning into some off-kilter, London cool. It’s got all the spirit of those early Met Galas, when looks were less about TikTok virality and Instagram impressions. If the Met Gala is the celebrated but rule-bound institution, then the Fashion Awards is its slick and rebellious younger sibling, and this year guests were well aware of that sentiment.
The Fashion Awards 2023, hosted by Maya Jama and Law Roach, unfolded as a night of success and acclaim, with a constellation of stars blazing brightly in the winners’ circle. Paloma Elsesser was named Model of the Year. Martine Rose was named Best Menswear Designer. Maximilian Davis earned a well-deserved victory, proving his influence in the ever-changing world of women’s fashion. The New Establishment Menswear Award went to Bianca Saunders, whose unique style and new viewpoint have clearly made a lasting impression on the menswear landscape.
