The event took place in Rio de Janeiro, where the fusion of Rio’s vibrant energy and Herrera’s timeless elegance created an unforgettable experience for all the fortunate witnesses.
Under the guidance of Creative Director Wes Gordon, iconic Herrera house codes are reinvented in captivating and fresh ways. The collection showcases different proportions, fabric choices, and a colour palette that includes a range of vibrant hues alongside the signature New York black. The classic cotton shirt undergoes a significant transformation, with larger proportions and a stylish wrap-and-tuck style when paired with floor-skimming skirts that drape like sarongs. Playful polka dots appear in adorning menswear-inspired silk shirting and pants paired with a matching bikini top. Eyelet cotton fabric shines in vivid green, lacquer red, and black, beautifully crafted into dramatic cocktail dresses, ball skirts, and gowns. These designs effortlessly elevate glamorous separates, exuding an aura of comfort and ease.
The Herrera woman embodies a reinforced sense of relaxed confidence for this season. The collection features a streamlined and figure-hugging silhouette, blurring the boundaries between casual and dressy, day and night. It establishes the notion that a fabulous piece is suitable for any occasion.

Models flawlessly bring the collection to life, perfectly capturing Carolina Herrera’s timeless signature style. They gracefully glide down the slightly damp, rose-coloured runway, walking barefoot and holding their shoes with a touch of daring elegance.
Unconventional colour blocking creates unforgettable entrances, like a cutout mini-dress in lake blue, kiwi green, and papaya orange. A rainbow ruffles skirt floats by, showcasing the full-colour palette of the collection. All-over sequins lend a dramatic flair, reminiscent of watercolour florals or a shimmering sunset. Orchids, depicted through delicate embroidery and soft watercolour prints in organza, serve as a recurring motif.
A duo of tulle pieces, an exquisite triumph of the New York atelier, features hundreds of hand-trimmed layers of undulating black and white tulle, paying homage to the modernist boardwalk designed by Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.
Vibrant jewellery in starburst hues adds a radiant sparkle under the twilight sun. The Carolina Herrera team expresses immense gratitude to the City and People of Rio de Janeiro for their generous hospitality as hosts of the Resort 2024 Runway Show and accompanying events. “Mother Nature and the tropical Brazilian climate proved to be the ultimate muse. As guests arrived to enjoy sunset cocktails and a breathtaking rainbow spanning the expanse of the stage, a rainstorm arrived at the show location for a prolonged and unexpected period. Ultimately, guests were escorted to the adjoining party in a jungle greenhouse built for the occasion, as models were filed in the rain barefoot holding their shoes, evoking an emotional and romantic image of the Girl from Ipanema.” – from Carolina Herrera.

The presence of esteemed figures such as Sabrina Carpenter, Leonie Hanne, Camila Morrone, Camila Queiroz, Blanca Padilla, Marina Ruy Barbosa, Sasha Meneghel, Taís Araújo, Giovanna Ewbank, Fernanda Paes Leme, Grazi Massafera added an extra touch of glamour and excitement to the already electrifying event.
