The fashion elite gathered at the Royal Albert Hall in London to celebrate stalwart and up-and-coming talent.
A-listers and style stars all flocked to London’s Royal Albert Hall for the 2022 Fashion Awards, in the most glamorous and innovative ensembles, of course. Fashion royalty like Valentino dressed Florence Pugh, Naomi Campbell and Kristen McMenamy were a feast for the eyes, with musical performances from Jessie Ware and Olivia Dean and a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth with Britain’s leading brands.
There are two aspects that people are interested in at the Fashion Awards: the red carpet and celebrating the winners. For the BFC 2022 event, nominees were chosen by 1,000 global fashion industry professionals. Nominees included Miuccia Prada for Miu Miu, JW Anderson for Loewe, Matthieu Blazy for Bottega, and Raf Simmons for Prada.
The Independent British Brand award was for Grace Wales Bonner. Meanwhile, Burberry won the Metaverse Design Award. The Isabella Blow award for Fashion Creator was for Katie Grand, and unsurprisingly, the most-anticipated award was the “Model of the Year” for Bella Hadid.A long-term wearer of the brand, Pugh presented Pierpaolo Piccioli with the “Designer of the Year” award for Valentino.
“Creativity wins. Our value wins. This victory belongs to me as much as to everyone that works for Valentino,” said Piccioli of his win.
And, of course, red carpets are always a good option to serve up a healthy dose of style inspiration. The likes of Florence Pugh, who wore a stunning red gown by Valentino, Naomi Campbell, and Paloma Elsesser attended the BFA 2022 ceremony alongside Jourdan Dunn, Adu Akech and Irina Shayk with glorious, elegant and sparkling outfits and gowns to celebrate fashion. Florence Pugh dazzled on the red carpet wearing a stunning red gown from Valentino.
