Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Heidi Klum, and Tyra Banks starred in the latest campaign for Skims, Kim Kardashian’s slimming underwear brand.
For the first time, the legendary supermodels of the early 2000s join forces in a new lingerie campaign.
Starring in Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS ‘Fits Everybody’ underwear campaign, Y2K icons such as Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, and Tyra Banks reunite in front of the camera. Dubbed the ‘SKIMS Icons’, the former angels flaunt their physiques in a series of shots showcasing the upcoming nude illusion underwear line.
The campaign is part of SKIMS’ broader focus on prioritizing inclusivity in all its forms, something the shapewear industry has lacked.
Banks, Klum, Ambrosio, and Swanepoel were among Victoria’s Secret’s most famous Angels before the band disbanded the Angels in 2021 and replaced them with a roster of ambassadors.
The shoot marked Banks’ first lingerie or underwear campaign since she retired from runway modelling, as she shared on her Instagram.
“Ok, so I wasn’t supposed to be in this @Skims campaign, but I stopped and jumped because it was too iconic,” she wrote in the caption. “Introducing Tyra, Heidi, Alessandra and Candice with our SKIMS Fits Everybody collection.”
The Icon Campaign celebrated the SKIMS “Fits Everybody” collection, which includes bras, underwear, swimwear, and loungewear, and it is designed to stretch to twice its size, according to the SKIMS website.
“The posse you never knew you needed…,” posted the youngest of the group, Candice Swanepoel.
“What fun it’s been shooting with @tyrabanks @alessandraambrosio and @candiceswanepoel for the new @skims “Fits Everybody collection”. It’s been a while since we’ve all been together so it was really special to get together. Thank you @kimkardashian for making it happen,” echoed Heid Klum.
“I haven’t modelled lingerie and lingerie in photos since my retirement from the runway, so photographing SKIMS was very special,” expressed Tyra Banks.
She also shared that part of the reason she signed on was to inspire others to embrace their curves. “My body is very different from my runway days, and I’m excited to show it off in all its super curvy glory,” Banks said. “Ms Kardashian, I did it for you, girl!”
